Why Choose Bespoke Steel Partitioning?
Steel partitions are an excellent product if you are redesigning warehouse spaces, dividing your work areas and installing secure storage and/or protection facilities for high-risk stock and dangerous machinery.
When specifying steel partitioning systems for your project, one key consideration is whether to go bespoke or for an off-the-shelf propriety product. If this is the case, you’ve come to the right place! Below, we will outline the benefits and downsides of going bespoke.
Benefits of bespoke steel partitioning
At WRG Steel Partitioning, we work mainly on large-scale projects for trade customers and 95% of these are bespoke.
Firstly, what does bespoke really mean?
The key aspect of bespoke is that the product is made to measure to suit the exact dimensions required by the client. This considers special heights, lengths and widths – ultimately, everything is manufactured to accurate sizes without the need to cut product on site and ‘make it fit’.
To your client, this could mean a specific colour to match their corporate colour schemes or internal decor. Using our in-house powder coating facility, we offer any BS or RAL colours to be supplied.
Alternatively, bespoke could mean making that one-off special panel with manufactured cut-outs to fit perfectly around site obstacles.
Here are a few detailed reasons why bespoke is our ‘go-to’.
1. Tailored to your needs – aesthetics, performance and durability
It’s in the name – bespoke partitioning allows you to create spaces for your customers that are fit for purpose, whether that be how they look, size and layout, functionality, or performance. You can have it all with bespoke designs.
For example, if your specification requires you to meet certain acoustic requirements, the partitioning can be designed to perform. Bespoke steel is very robust and durable, making it a perfect material for demanding environments such as warehouses.
Not only that, but the flexibility of bespoke solutions means that you can maximise space ultilisation and create dedicated areas for different purposes and optimise workflow.
2. Saving time and money on site
Bespoke partitioning, which is manufactured in our factory, saves our trade customers time and money on-site.
There are several ways in which bespoke designs are manufactured to help save time and money – one of these is the reduced installation cost through factory-fitted glazing.
Another is that with our bespoke factory manufacturing, no wet trades are required on-site, which again helps improve efficiency.
3. Adaptable to change
Unlike fixed solutions, bespoke partitioning can very easily be reconfigured or dismantled as your space evolves and your storage and protection requirements change, especially important for warehouses and operation spaces where needs might change frequently.
4. Reduces waste
As a company, we are committed to contributing to a greener and more sustainable future and bespoke systems help us and our clients to do this.
With all solutions made to measure, this ensures that minimal waste is left on site – from product, waste materials and even packaging!
Combined with the ability to dismantle and relocate bespoke steel partitioning solutions and its overall recyclability, it is a very sustainable design option. Read more about this in one of our recent articles.
Are there any downsides to bespoke?
Whilst bespoke products are not available off-the-shelf, WRG can manufacture and supply all of your steel partitioning product requirements from our central UK factory to meet your project timescales. Just ask the question!
Does bespoke cost more? If you look at the total project costs and the savings in time spent on site “making it fit”, then bespoke can actually offer a very cost-effective solution. Hence, this is why our customers opt for bespoke, time and time again!
Again, it is always worth getting a quote to meet your requirements.
