WRG Summer Round-Up
Over the last 18 months, WRG has undergone many positive changes and is preparing for an even more prosperous future.
It’s been a busy year and as we are already over halfway through, we have reviewed some of our highlights over the last six months and our future plans.
Community Support
We are proud to be a local UK manufacturer and employer that supports and strengthens our community. Over 75% of our employees live within a 5 mile radius.
This year, with community support being a focus for WRG, we were proud to nominate ourselves as the main sponsor of our local football club, Inkberrow Eagles. This football club is also close to our employees’ hearts as it is where Jon’s, our Commercial and Operations Manager, son has played for several years.
Employee celebration & recognition
2024 has seen us further invest our experience and knowledge to support the younger generation to succeed in our industry. Our most recent success story is with Oliver, who is currently undergoing his Level 2 Engineering Operations apprenticeship after working for us as a temporary factory worker. Last month, we celebrated Oliver’s most recent promotion to Project Engineer. We are excited to continue to support Oliver in his career and can’t wait to see what he achieves.
This summer, we also promoted Jon to Commercial and Operations Manager. A huge congratulations to Jon for very well-deserved recognition.
Earlier in the year, we wished Martin good luck in his retirement after having been with WRG for over 20 years. It was a privilege to have Martin work with us for over two decades and his career is a wonderful example of local community success.

We also hit another huge milestone for brothers John and Ross Knight this year, who also celebrated their 20-year anniversary at WRG.
There is no doubt that the talent, commitment, and loyalty our employees bring to WRG contribute to its success today and its recognition as a trusted steel partitioning manufacturer for trade customers.
Company & factory achievements
In May this year, we celebrated Steve’s one year as the owner of WRG; this has brought us some huge company achievements.
In the first six months of 2024, we achieved:
- 500 bespoke project orders completed
- Secured and completed our largest ever order
- Welcomed 6 new trade customers
- Visited over 20 counties across the UK, carrying out customer meetings and site surveys

From humble beginnings, we have now collaborated with over 150 trade customers and produced more than 400 tonnes of steel partitioning each year – with every single order going through our factory doors in Redditch.
Looking forward
At WRG, we are committed to evolving to better support our valued trade customers. We provide valuable resources and knowledge sharing, and with the level of expertise, dedication, and ambitious targets in our team, we are excited about the future as we look forward to the next 6 months, 12 months, and beyond.
